About this project
generalHelper is one of the early projects on the server, and the name is accurate. It is a grab-bag of small useful tools that I wanted somewhere to put. None of them were big enough to deserve their own app, so they live here together.
URLs I want close to hand, including ones that bots drop in for me via MCP. A shared clipboard that works across my phone, desktop and laptop, so I can paste on one device and pick it up on another. A YouTube transcript grabber: I paste a link, it grabs the transcript, and I can send it to my notes or hand it to an AI to process. And a voice snippet recorder, though that is on its way out because Hark is going to take over.
The most-used part is probably the screenshot uploader. I paste an image from my phone or a website and it lands on the server with a link I can drop straight into a chat session. That piece really belongs inside roadTerm, and I will move it one day, but for now it lives here and does the job.
